Thanks for the reply, I am familiar with qeeqie, its a good app for images but it does not display the GPS IFD from the exif data. Note 1. I have found an answer though, slightly unfortunately it does not appear to be in Debian, its the Java app "geotag". Availible from......... http://sourceforge.net/projects/geotag/ It uses googleearth via the Chromium browser to display the geo tag position, works great. For install info see........ http://geotag.sourceforge.net/QuickStart/ One of course needs both chromium and googleearth installed. Lindsay Note 1: I use a Nikon D700 with the GPS1 attachment that automaticly tags the image with its current GPS data when you take a shot. A REAL great asset I may say.
