Thats exactly why I asked for specfic recomendations, the person concerned has very large collection of "old country/bush" music from all over the world. His existing player an (I think) an Apple Ipod classic has been giving him no end of trouble by refusing to let him copy anything off the player. He wish's to get another player and does not want to fall into the same trap. Lindsay

I can't think why you'd ever want to copy music OFF an mp3 player. That implies it's the only place this music is stored. Multitudes of things wrong with that. / Brett
