Maybe it could just be processor then, but I was thinking it was the disk.
It makes kind of a clicky-whirry sound. I associate clickiness with old, sick drives, but maybe it's normal for 5400s or something. The CPU is solid state, NO way it should make any noise. (Except the CPU fan, of course.)
It is command not found. What to install to do this?
smartmontools -- as "apt-file search bin/smartctl" would tell you.
