Notice that when author Marc Merlin[1] filed a bug about several aspects of the problem, the maintainer closed it as 'invalid'. Marc re-opened the bug, as (essentially) the matter had not been addressed at all, and there's been no comment or other activity on the bug since then, about a year ago. [1] FWIW, senior system administrator at Google, Inc. and before that at VA Linux Systems / VA Software / $WHATEVER. (Marc's a friend and occasional co-worker.)
