Has anyone recently purchased a new laptop that they can recommend with good support for Linux drivers? I am thinking 14" screen.
Hi Gerd I got a Zareason Ultralap 430 at the end of last year. Driver support has been good. The only thing I haven't gotten around to fixing is setting up multitouch on the touchpad. The RJ45 socket is useful and rare on ultrabooks. Also, because it has an MSATA and a regular 2.5" SATA drive bay, I should be able to squeeze in a second SSD if I need more space. The only thing that hasn't been good is Zareason's service. They took a LONG time to ship the thing, and when it came, they left out two case screws, which they have promised to send me, but which are yet to arrive. Apparently support@zareason.co.nz wasn't monitored for a long time.
