If you have a PCI-Express slot available, you could buy a TP-LINK TL-WDN4800. I have one of these in my desktop machine, which I'm using as an access point with hostapd. $45 from msy.com.au as I recall. lspci shows 80:00.0 Network controller: Qualcomm Atheros AR93xx Wireless Network Adapter (rev 01)
