apt-cache search mariadb apt-cache search maria [nothing useful] Nope. Not there.
Step #2 is: $ wnpp-check maria mariadb-server-core-5.5 (ITP - #565308) $ bts show 565308 # browser $ bts show -m 565308 # mutt, much better for large, threaded tickets If you then give a shit about the ticket, $ bts subscribe 565308 ...which assume you have a working MTA and $EMAIL is set appropriately (which should bloody well hold for all hosts :-/) If you want to actually contribute, #debian-mentors on Freenode can provide details on Debian packaging that are beyond the scope of this short email. PS: these tools come from dpkg-dev or devscripts packages, as "apt-file search bin/foo" will tell you (cf. dpkg -S / dlocate).
