I tell most people who come into the shop with a printer to repair to go buy a new one as they are so cheap, but of the odd 1 or 2 that I have accepted, some of those dont work in usb3 ports either. Suggest you choose one with more than 2 usb ports or be prepared to carry a usb hub or use wireless peripherals, cos most only seem to come out with 2 usb ports on them, one of which is usb 3 and is not compatible with telstra broadband dongles and probably a few other devices as well.
You're saying some USB2 devices aren't compatible with USB3 ports? It's the first I've heard of that -- could you cite some references? (Even just whirlpool threads or something)
