Currently some attendees go for dinner after the meetings, but I guess we could reverse that and have dinner first and then meetings. Are there any members who currently attend LUV main meetings and would be seriously inconvenienced by a later start time, say 7pm? When we had the meetings start at 7PM the dinners afterwards were well attended so it seemed that plenty of people didn't find that a problem.
One of the reasons for making it start earlier was the difficulty of getting into the room we have just been evicted from. So we have one less reason for making it 6:30.
That said, it is a somewhat late night so there are benefits to having it as 6:30. If you finish work at 5PM in most parts of the greater Melbourne area you can get there by 6:30.
Russell or Andrew; if you are willing to change the date as well as the time; you could try the Melbourne Unitarian Church in Grey Street East Melbourne ; but 1st and second Tuesdays are definitely NOT available. Also on the east side of Melbourne Uni , the Melbourne Skeptics Society has recently started using the Clyde Hotel (cnr Elgin and Cardigan Streets); so that might also be possible on another night early in the week ! regards Rohan McLeod
