yep, i know. you asked "worse than ...?", and i said 'yeah, recordfail". "worse than" is, of course, subjective. so far recordfail has pissed me off more than zero-second timeout, so it wins (loses?). recordfail has made me suffer using the java crapware IPMIView for remote console access to supermicro machines more than i would otherwise, whereas with the zero-second timeout i was already experiencing the torture of ipmiview...a pinprick of extra pain makes little difference. craig -- craig sanders <cas@taz.net.au>
