This space issue is an bug in the xpdf wrapper script that was fixed upstream about mid 2011. It works fine in Debian 7.0 stable and should be okay in the current Ubuntu 12.04 LTS unless there has been a regression. Glenn -- sks-keyservers.net 0x6d656d65
