To make this clearer, if you aren't going to contribute then your comments on mailing lists aren't of any use to anyone. Lots of people want to tell others how to do things, but if they don't have the money to pay someone or the skill to do some work then it doesn't matter.
And that's why people give up and use Windows. Microsoft doesn't care about your opinions or helpful suggestions either, of course, but at least nobody expects them to. And when someone asks for help, Microsoft might be unhelpful at times, but at least they aren't hostile and tell you that you and your opinions don't matter.
Andrew never asked for help. He asked me and all the other Debian developers to do things his way. He thinks that he knows better than us how to design a distribution of Linux. Try telling MS how to design the next version of Windows and see how far you get. Note the significant negative reviews of Vista and Windows 8 and the lack of interest that MS shows in such reviews. -- My Main Blog http://etbe.coker.com.au/ My Documents Blog http://doc.coker.com.au/
