If you are lucky :-) on that window the secondary mouse button might bring up a context menu offering "deselect all". I don't use it myself but vaguely recall this from a Fedora list discussion long ago. A small concession to the cautious old school from the "newer is better, just use your unlimited bandwidth to update everything, otherwise click everywhere because you never know where we might hide a menu" devs.
