The source trees are now up to date with the latest releases, which is nice. MySQL has, for a VERY VERY long time been a pretty closed development model. Any moves that Oracle are making here have been a *long* time in the making (at least 6 years). If you're wanting real free and open source software *projects* (not just source releases), may I recommend Drizzle and PostgreSQL. Very robust communities. -- Stewart Smith
