ubuntu 12.04 ("Precise Pangolin", or the next LTS release) would probably be fine too - the daily build EC2 image i booted on Saturday had kernel linux-image-3.2.0-19-virtual 3.2.0-19.31 this is assuming that the non-EC2 installer also has a 3.2.0 kernel. if not, it'll probably have the same problem as squeeze. craig -- craig sanders <cas@taz.net.au> BOFH excuse #448: vi needs to be upgraded to vii
