Hi Terry, Often times it is best to collect the list of packages to install (from the old setup), install them. Then perhaps just copy over the relevant settings files from /etc directory tree -- not everything, just those files that are known to be required for the config adjustments. For the /home dir, is that set to 755 perms? And then /home/terry or whatever you home directory is, does that have 755 as well with the right UID:GID ? Cheers A.
