Personally I think I am better off using an external modem with WiFi or Ethernet.
Yes, I was thinking this too. Or USB.
I would refrain from WiFi, because the WiFi spectrum can get rather congested around conferences...
The only times I've had problems with Wifi at conferences has been LCA which has also had problems with 3G access. Recent LCAs haven't had problems with Wifi AFAIK so it might be that Wifi bandwidth is less of a problem than 3G bandwidth. For most people Wifi tethering to an Android phone is by far the cheapest option because they already own a phone capable of that and because having a single device is cheaper than splitting bandwidth quota between 2 devices for all the possible ways of doing it. -- My Main Blog http://etbe.coker.com.au/ My Documents Blog http://doc.coker.com.au/
