As I recall it was you who helped me back then. When I promote Linux, I always talk about the community, and I use you as an example.  You are right, it helps if the program is installed. I thought because the man file was there, that the program was also there. I have more work to do yet, but I will get on to it tonight.

The inotify-tools package is still available on Debian based distros and
probably the others (though it may not be installed by default).
