Look at OwnCloud. It is easy to setup and does calendaring and will talk to clients like evolution, thunderbird (via lightening) well. I am guessing it will talk to Outlook also.
It will not. Outlook does not support Caldav (or Carddav), therefore it does not support any other groupware solution that doesn't provide Outlook-specific functionality.
That's why companies are able to charge extra for Outlook support.

Just came across that though, so may be hope is not far away!!:) (See: https://forum.owncloud.org/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=8141&start=10) Re: Owncloud and Outlook by aluxnimm ยป Wed Jun 03, 2015 4:01 pm I would like to announce a new Open Source (AGPL) Outlook CalDAV Plugin: https://sourceforge.net/projects/outlookcaldavsynchronizer/ This plugin gets developed as a project for a master thesis at the University of Applied Sciences Technikum Wien. It is tested with OwnCloud and works also with other CalDAV servers. Since all other Outook CalDAV plugins are proprietary 3rd party modules, this could be an alternative for syncing some Outlook clients. The plugin works for Outlook 2010 and 2013 and is in beta quality right now. In a future release we also plan to add task support and maybe CardDAV. Best regards, Alex
