Possibly the most productive thing would be if LUV had some sort of wiki, and people could write create *proposals* to *fix* the problem (not just a complaint that the current sitation is wrong), with arguments for and against.
A complete solution, i.e. one not introducing new problems, would have been to munge headers for gmail recipients only. I.e. solve the problem where it exists - don't pollute the list aimlessly. That would also serve to defend an independent community against internet hegemons - a non-trivial achievement in itself, with long-term benefits. I understand that Russel is content with half a solution, and that is why examination of the residual problems "must cease forthwith - so there!" Well, if "nowhere near" is to be "good enough", then so be it. Just please don't pretend it is any more then half a solution. I'll just unmunge the headers on receipt, I think, as Craig is doing, IIRC. Two horrible hacks can make a whole solution, I guess.
