Note that if you do this the drive names can still change when you plug the other two disks back in. That's why you should use UUIDs and not worry about what names they are assigned.
Worth noting here: if you plug the extra drives in and your system no longer boots, you need to go into the BIOS and tell it which drive to boot from. Once you've successfully booted, you can run 'grub-install' to install the boot loader into the MBR of all drives so it doesn't matter which drive the BIOS tries to boot from. craig -- craig sanders <cas@taz.net.au>
