Hi there, I know this is a common issue for some but my set up is a bit different. My new laptop only has USB C ports so I have to use a dongle for HDMI and other ports. It also has a network port. I guessed that after sleep it tries to use the network port (I tested i with a cable and I get my normal speeds) but no there is traffic. Since I am well away from the router I unloaded the module: $ sudo rmmod r8152 Then I reloaded wifi one: $ sudo /sbin/modprobe -r iwlwifi $ sudo /sbin/modprobe iwlwifi The result is traffic but at near dial up speeds. I can reboot and fix it but I would rather: 1) Not have this sleep problem in the first place (perhaps stop r8152 from loading at boot) 2) 1) + the ability to turn on and off the Ethernet if I change desks or an in an environment without wifi Thanks Piers Ubuntu 20.10 -- www.recruit-on-line.com <https://recruitonline.com.au/>
