Hi Russell This would often just indicate that the uploader is not getting a response from the bootload downloading code in the Arduino. There could be a number of reasons for this, off the top of my head: * previously loaded firmware is hanging (though typically you have a 5 second window before the firmware bootloader jumps to the code start under these circumstances) * wrong virtual serial port (or a problem with the virtual serial port over USB) * processor not starting (clock, power, etc) * firmware bootloader has not been installed Some of the boards may have a jumper to determine whether the power is supplied from the USB or from a plugpack.
