I went looking for what might be usable to save to the hard drive for later playback, and found youtube-dl, and successfully installed, even trying to update, maybe successful, maybe not. The problem is that the copy and pasted URL comes up with a HTTP Error 403: Forbidden, after a certain amount of stuffing around to try and sort out the correct URL, the earlier incomplete variants gave an URL Unsupported error. The failure appears to be when it requests the f4m manifest.
As others have noted python-iview works well. I'll sent you an APT repository for that off-list.
Also youtube-dl works really well for SBS, so if you have problems with ABC you could spend some time watching SBS which has a huge amount of quality content.
For me youtube-dl stopped working on iview a month or so ago but appears to be fixed now. On Debian if you install youtube-dl from unstable you should be able to download from iview.
