"Forget Flash" seems to be a reasonable option :)
Flash is (I hope) on the way out. Meanwhile, you can try Gnash and Lightspark. Flash has never in practice been very accessible to people with disabilities, and not at all so under Linux, so I've just never used it. HTML 5 video will be better in this respect. Even the Canvas element is the subject of accessibility work. So, in the future, I'm hoping for a less proprietary (i.e., Flash-free) as well as a more accessible Web. The fact that I don't visit Web sites which provide content in Flash also makes it easy for me to avoid, obviously.
