What's a simple way to extract XML values with little memory use or dependencies? I just need to extract a single value at a fixed place in the XML schema and I need to do it on an embedded Linux system that doesn't have much installed. It's got the basics (Perl, shell, etc) so any common script should work. Any suggestions?
