Did I also mention car mode ? :)  If the device is connected to external power (eg cigarette lighter) and you turn off the ignition, it resumes from where it left off once you start the car again.  Brilliant.

It doesn't take long if it goes well.  If you don't include downloading the image, I'd reckon 10-20 minutes to get it built and back running, then you need to reload your music. 

I did have a lot of trouble with one of the iPods and gave up for a few months, but a couple of versions later, all was fine.
