App development software

Hello all, Is there any open source software available for app development similar to the Adobe Design Publishing Suite + addons or Mag+ ? I am looking for something for app development by someone with very limited coding experience. The options provided by Adobe plus addons are horribly expensive and I was was wondering if there is a viable open source alternative? Thanks Bob
