I've heard that there's at least one North American mobile provider which
already offers IPv6 on its subscriber network. I can't remember the name,
however.

t-mobile offer a ipv6 via LTE,  but it requires a bit of hacking to get working. 

no major Australian carriers, as a company, provide *any* IPv6 to normal subscribers. 

Telstra have native v6 for TesltraClear, but even then they recently sold off that business

It will be quite some time yet before we can expect v6 on our mobiles with any provider in Aus
