Ubuntu/Debian Linux Engineer required for an exciting opportunity, you will be working with one of Australia’s leading web based providers with great working conditions. Ideally you will have: · Over 6 years Linux System Administration/Engineer · Linux certifications · Proven experience with large-scale, mission critical infrastructure environments · Solid Linux experience with Ubuntu/Debian also with scripting Bash, Python or Ruby Experience with Amazon Web Services and physical co-location. Managing Windows 2008 Server configuration. Experience automating repetitive tasks. Understand big data technologies such as Hadoop Experience configuring, monitoring and performance tuning (Linux, HAProxy, Nginx). Experience with open source monitoring tools such as Nagios/Icinga, Collectd, Munin. Experience with configuration management tools (Puppet). Managing, monitoring and backing up SQL Server. Experience with release, change, problem and incident management processes is desirable. Strong understanding of networking, system hardware, software and related infrastructure.
