Hello all, Thank you for assisting in my search, I am recruiting for an Eastern suburbs based Australian organisation who are looking for a talented Linux Administrator. Detail include: We are currently seeking a dynamic Linux Administrator for a market leading retail services organisation based in Eastern Suburbs. Having recently embarked a technology transformation program the organisation now requires an experienced Linux Administrator to take responsibility for all aspects of web systems, uptime, deployments, security, backups and new projects. This role requires all facets of the system administration cycle, from provisioning, to production transition, to ongoing support, including some afterhours support. Key skills required include: * Ability to administer a large environment of mission-critical servers * Strong knowledge in Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) * MySQL Cluster Configuration and Administration * Ability to maintain and optimise production High Availability Apache environment * F5 Load Balancer Exposure * Proficiency in scripting languages such as BASH or PHP, PERL * Experience with SSH Tunnelling, Rsync, SMB, NFS, FTP, SFTP * Hardware / Software Trouble Shooting Skills * Very good written and verbal communication skills * Ability to work individually or as part of a team * Ability to manage small projects While not essential, highly desirable skills will include: * VMware vSphere * Ability in provisioning, maintaining a Datastage environment * Experience with IBM server, blade and disk systems hardware * Disaster recovery * Experience with TSM (Tivoli Storage Manager) design & admin The ideal Linux Administrator will have excellent analytical and problem resolution skills, strong interpersonal skills, and a disciplined focus on infrastructure administration and monitoring.
