Can you please post the following role:

 

·         Senior Systems Engineer (Permanent or Contract Role)

·         Melbourne CBD based

·         Next generation technology platform in a global AWS environment

·         The software environment is primarily based on standard Linux distributions and a variety of open source components and toolkits.

 

In this role you will be responsible for day to day operations such carrying out deployments of new applications or modifying existing applications and configuring changes, responding to incidents and emergency fixes as required (i.e. failure of servers, software bugs and black hat incidents).  You will also undertake interesting project based work and gain valuable experience in an AWS environment.

 

You are an experienced Systems Administrator triaging operational failures and determining appropriate remediation in a high availability Linux environment.  You have worked with multiple systems in a redundant, resilient configuration and can demonstrate a high level of expertise in standard scripting languages including BASH, PERL and Python and proficiency in Puppet including developing and maintaining complex manifests.  Recent experience using at least two AWS services and AWS CloudFormation is also important.
