Hi Todd,
I'm not in Geelong, so I can't give much physical help, and I'm
pretty busy at the moment without much time to spare, but just a
few thoughts:
About your "IL to SQL" project on startupcloud: I went to a talk
by Phil Wadler recently about writing queries embedded in F#
which was then massaged into SQL. I know not everybody programs
in F#, but at least it's in the .Net world. If this is of any
interest, let me know, and I'll try to rustle up more details.
Some of us in Melbourne have also talked about doing hackathons.
Maybe with the right infrastructure we could set up some
coordinated multi-site hackathons.
