There will be an Information Session on the Digital Futures Fund, the Innovation Voucher Program and the Technology Voucher Program in Geelong from 1:45pm to 3:00pm on Tuesday 19th February @ the Department of Business & Innovation (69-71 Moorabool St, Geelong). Other opportunities in March 2013 (referred below) include an expressions-of-interest to meet with the Victorian Government’s San Francisco Export Development Manager in Geelong and as well participation in the Super Trade Mission to India.

 

Digital Futures Fund
The Digital Futures Fund supports collaborative projects involving the development of information and communication technology (ICT) solutions that transform current business practices and deliver productivity benefits to Victorian small and medium sized enterprises (SMEs). The adoption of ICT has been demonstrated to drive productivity, innovation and improve the competitiveness of businesses. The program supports SMEs to overcome business challenges through the use of ICT by reducing barriers to specialist ICT resources, knowledge and technical expertise.

Expressions of Interest are now open for Stage one of Round two. Applications close at 2pm on Thursday 7 March 2013.

Innovation Voucher Program

The Innovation Voucher Program is a new initiative of the Victorian Government that aims to improve the innovation capability and capacity of small and medium companies (SMEs) and publicly funded research organisations (PFROs). The program is separate but complementary to the Technology Voucher Program. It provides responsive and nimble funding to help SMEs access the facilities and know-how needed to innovate and to help PFROs improve their ability to service industry projects.

Technology Voucher Program

The Technology Voucher Program has been developed by the Victorian Government to drive the use of cutting edge technologies and to support Victorian companies to compete locally and globally.

The program is separate but complementary to the Innovation Voucher Program. It provides responsive and nimble funding for businesses wanting to explore the use of  technology to create more competitive products and processes.

Meet with San Fran Export Development Manager – USA Export Opportunities for Technology Businesses

Brian Carnahan, Export Development Manager from our San Francisco VGBO will be in Melbourne from Monday 4 till Friday 15 March 2013. The Dept of Business & Innovation are planning to invite him to Geelong to talk to businesses that may have an interest in export to the USA. The Americas market will have a particular focus on ICT, lifesciences, automotive, mining and defence. Super Trade Mission to India - March 2013
The Victorian Government will lead more than 100 Victorian organisations to India from 11-15 March 2013. This mission follows the highly successful Super Trade Mission to India in February 2012 that generated anticipated additional sales of over $355 million over the new two years. The mission will include sectors of strategic importance to Victoria and India including: automotive, aviation and aerospace, biotech, cleantech, education, food and beverage, ICT, infrastructure and tourism.
