Can you try the Ctrl-Alt Fx key combo to check if any text consoles started?

It would be interesting to know if the computer is crashed at this stage, or the computer is running fine but not displaying anything. Unfortunately, can't think of an easy non-trivial way of working this out.
One thing should be easy to tell however: Are the screens still powered up? Or do they automatically enter power saving mode, i.e. not receiving a signal? -- Brian May <brian@microcomaustralia.com.au> _______________________________________________ luv-beginners mailing list luv-beginners@luv.asn.au http://lists.luv.asn.au/listinfo/luv-beginners

Wondering about info in relation to meet ups/skill shares...?

I think the last beginners meetup was about two weeks ago. So the next one should not be too far off. If you are on this mailing list you will get a notification, and if you are a member of the LUV Meetup group then you will get a notification about it through that channel also. As I recall it was about a week prior to the event last time that we heard about it and what the content would be. In the mean time this is one place you can ask questions and get some answers. Depending on the problem. Look forward to seeing you there. Scott.

Its on Sat the 15 of November, usual place/time. (Its almost always on the 3rd Saturday of the month, except Jan (annual LUV BBQ) and Sept (Software Freedom Day), and possibly if a special event such as a regional miniconf or other event is organised on the particular 3rd Sat of the month, to which beginners are usually welcome. And topic will be A brief Intro to GUI program development in Linux. More details will be posted asap. The usual "Individual Help" session will be taking place after the talk.
