Hi Duncan I thought that may have been the case but any online checking I did came back negative. There is also the fact that this is a single domain that we cannot email to, there are no other bounces or fail to connects. The sending domain is roadgear.com.au just in case you can find any positive tests that I have missed! The owners of the offending domain say that they have opened all of their firewall and anti spam blocks to allow our email address but that they cannot even see connection attempts hitting their servers. I have tried using the sending domain address in headers sent from another machine [not on the same domain] and have connected successfully. I have sent from the genuine domain to two different addresses and had one receipt and one failure and so I am confident that the sending machine is connecting successfully to at least part of the internet. I am baffled; and since we are both saying that our systems appear to be operating normally with every other domain we are at some kind of impasse as far as troubleshooting goes. cheers Michael On 22/04/2012, at 7:49 PM, Duncan16v wrote:
Evening Michael,
Just a thought: you haven't made your way inadvertently on to the spamhaus block list or something similar have you?

Thanks Trent but . . .
If by your reply you mean that you cannot help unless all addresses are in plain text then perhaps you should say so.
I would have thought that the structure of the log entry was important in its diagnosis, but if you feel that the specific addresses are vital to an understanding of the problem and think you can help more with a clear text version then I can provide one. All are obviously FQDN which seemed to be one point of contention.
It is a beginners list and perhaps the"I TL;DR'd your post as soon as I saw the security-through-obscurity IPs." line deserves some explanation for those of us who admit to being beginners!
cheers
