This is a reminder for the LUV Annual General Meeting (below), that will
be held next Tuesday.
1. The location for the meeting will the same as usual, at the Buzzard
Lecture Theatre, Trinity College, University of Melbourne, starting at

this Friday at 11.59pm. If there are insufficient nominations for the
positions available, nominations will be accepted from the floor on the
night of the AGM.

give a short (c2-4 minute) presentation on a Linux-related application
that they have been used and wish to advocate or otherwise share
information with others.

Nominating for the Committee. Important!
Linux Users of Victoria, Inc. is governed by an elected committee of
manager as per the Associations Act of Victoria. In our case, the
committee organisers events, such as the main meetings and beginner's
workshops, and all forms of publicity promoting LUV and Linux use, along
with raising funds for those objectives.
The committee consists of four office-bearers (a President, a
Vice-President, a Treasurer, and a Secretary), and four ordinary members.
Any member of LUV may nominate for one or more committee positions, but
may only be elected to one position. Nominations require acceptance from
the nominee before they become a candidate. A person may nominate
