LUV Beginners October Meeting: Command Line

Start: Oct 18 2014 12:30 End: Oct 18 2014 16:30 Location: RMIT Building 91, 110 Victoria Street, Carlton South Link: http://luv.asn.au/meetings/map Mike Hewitt will be introducing newcomers to Linux to the use of the "command line". Mike has been interested in programming and electronics since his early teens. He has worked on software and electronic projects using mainframes and microprocessors and enjoys hacking (crazy word) existing and new projects. He has been a keen Linux user since the Redhat floppy disk installs of nearly thirty years ago. He spent 9 years as a teacher and is now recovering from that experience and enjoying re-immersing himself in Linux. He enjoys communicating with amateur radio satellites. He enjoyed using CCNP and Dutch language skills to troubleshoot remote networks. He enjoys working with Raspberry Pi, Arduino and so on along with hardware recovered from discarded electronic equipment. He runs an electronics club in Altona.
