Web browsing using Linux! : A review of the many web browsers available on
Linux.
In this talk, I will be reviewing several web browsers that are available
on Linux and look at some specific (advanced) features of a few of them. I
will also look at some issues with specific browsers.
At the end of the day, it is a matter of personal preference which browser
one chooses to use, but more often than otherwise, having a few available
on one's desktop can prove useful.
Daniel Jitnah is currently vice-president of LUV. He has a particular
interest in free software in education, and has been Linux for over 15 yrs
as his main operating system. He claims to have never used a Microsoft OS
as on any of his machines as main OS.
LUV would like to acknowledge Red Hat for their help in obtaining the
Buzzard Lecture Theatre venue and VPAC for hosting, and BENK Open Systems
for their financial support of the Beginners Workshops
Linux Users of Victoria Inc., is an incorporated association, registration
number A0040056C.
