Linux Users of Victoria report for 2017
=======================================
2017 was a very significant year for LUV, as the first and oldest Linux
user group in Australia finally disincorporated and became a
subcommittee of Linux Australia. Many thanks to the LUV members and
committees past and present and to the president, treasurer and commitee
of Linux Australia for making the transition fairly smooth!
We held twenty-one events over the course of the year and contributed to
a couple of others including Software Freedom Day in September and a
Melbourne Meetup end-of-year party in December. We had fifteen
presentations by nine different speakers at our main monthly meetings,
plus eight monthly workshops and a Debian 9 release party.
Here's looking forward to another great year for Linux in 2018!
Regards,
Andrew Pam
