  • Heya

I've had great success with the dlink range of "green" switches. We
    use them for 3 reasons:
    1. When each port is unplugged it disables that part of the PCB
    dropping consumption considerably
    2. The larger ones in the family (16 and 24 port) are fanless! Which
makes them great for quiet spaces
    3. The smaller ones (5 and 8 port) have qos builtin but aren't managed
(for our voip systems) and the larger ones have a pretty easy web
management interface (also with qos and vlans etc - and compatible
with browsers other than IE - I'm looking at you Linksys)

We've found them totally reliable and very handy being that they're
also Gigabit. We've also installed a few at client sites with great
    success.

I think this is what you're probably after - I can find exact model
names if you'd like and places we've bought them before (as they
    sometimes are a little difficult).

    Jesse
